Their daughter died a long time ago. Her parents are convinced she's alive and responding to them when there is no medical way congition possible - it is not true.
Her husband knows the woman, the adult Teri was, and he knows she left her body a long time ago. He isn't carrying memories of her as a child but her family does and they are convinced she's become some regressed adult trapped inside a shell. She's not. She's gone and babying what's left behind isn't fair to her. Let go of the lie and make peace.
Bob Schindler visited his daughter late Sunday and said he noticed the effects of dehydration on her. He said she appeared to be getting tired, but eventually responded to his teasing by making a face at him.
"It tells us she's still with us," he said.
