Caltrain service has returned to normal after a Baby Bullet train struck a passenger vehicle this morning at 7 a.m. in Palo Alto, Caltrain spokeswoman Jayme Maltbie Kunz reported.

Train No. 325 was traveling north when it struck the vehicle, closing Charleston Road at Alma Street, Kunz said. No injuries or fatalities were reported.

Caltrain service was delayed in both directions until the accident scene was cleared at 7:40 a.m., according to Kunz. The road reopened shortly afterward and all train service has returned to normal.

The cause of the crash is not known at this time.

The car was on the railroad tracks.
